A final raft of funding to help our most vulnerable customers this winter has come through from Somerset Community Foundation.
Since the Surviving Winter Funding scheme came into force in November 2024 HiS has received a total of £15,000 to help those who need it most keep warm.
Our front-line officers have been working hard to reach out to customers who they feel would benefit from financial assistance with their heating bills, and together we’ve been helping those really feeling the cold this winter.
Income Team Lead Ian Richards said: “It has been really invaluable working alongside SCF to get additional funding to support our most vulnerable customers during the cold winter months. We have been able to help many customers to remain safe and warm in their homes”
