They say a dog is man’s best friend but all animals – be it pets or in nature – are a comfort to many of us, and can be considered just as much a part of our community as good neighbours and friends.
We’d love to see the animals that make you smile, that you’ve bonded with, or give you a boost in your day-to-day life.
As such, the Homes in Sedgemoor 2023 Photo Competition is based on the theme of “Our Life with Animals” – and we’re asking for submissions of the animals you love, or the pets that keep you company, be it in your home or in the community.
The entries will be judged by members of the community and a panel of judges and will be displayed on a digital online gallery, as well as a touring exhibition at some of our community hubs.
The winners will have their images mounted and framed and be awarded prizes of £100 for first place, £50 for second place and £25 for third place.
To enter, simply send your hi-res digital images to us via Facebook messenger or email communications@homesinsedgemoor.org by September 9, 2023.
All entries must include your full name, address, photo title and a short description. Please note, full names and addresses are for our reference only, however, first names and where you live (town/village, not street name) may be published to credit your photo.
You must be a Homes in Sedgemoor customer to enter this competition.
By entering our competition you’re giving us permission to use your entry, with a credit, on our digital and print publications, including our social media channels, website and newsletter.
If you’re under 18, you need permission from a parent/guardian to enter, and you must include their contact information with your entry.
You are not limited to one entry.
If possible, your photograph must be over 1MB in size to ensure it can be used in our calendar.
This competition will be judged by members of the public via our Facebook page.
