Attendance Allowance is a vital benefit designed to help individuals with long-term physical or mental conditions or disabilities. It provides extra financial support to those who need assistance with personal care due to their health conditions. The allowance offers £72.65 or £108.55 a week, depending on the level of care required.

To qualify for Attendance Allowance, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a physical disability, mental disability, or health condition.
  • Be of State Pension age or older.
  • The allowance does not cover mobility needs.
  • Applicants do not need to have someone caring for them to claim.

In addition to the weekly financial support, recipients of Attendance Allowance may also be eligible for extra Pension Credit, Housing Benefit, or Council Tax Reduction.

Sue’s dedication and expertise have been instrumental in helping our customers navigate the application process and secure the support they need. Homes of Sedgemoor remains committed to providing exceptional service and support to our community.
