Repair works continue after roof damage

Repair works at a block of flats in Bridgwater continue after the roof was damaged in Storm Darragh.

Scaffolding has been constructed around the flats at Westfield Close, allowing initial investigations and temporary repair works to be carried out.

The roof suffered damage as a result of Storm Darragh in December, which brought winds of up to 90mph across parts of the country.

Naomi Macey, Direct of Asset Management and Safety, said: “We continue to work hard to repair the roof damage at Westfield Close, Bridgwater following Storm Darragh. Fixing the damage remains our utmost priority, and we are looking forward to being able to welcome customers back into their homes once the repairs are complete. We are in regular communication with our customers, and thank them for their continued understanding and patience.”

We remain in close communication with the customers directly affected by the damage and will continue to update them as work progresses.
